Prague Museum Night - summer night, museums and galleries full of visitors yearning for cultural experience in unconventional night time – has became very popular among Prague inhabitants and visitors of our capital city. Museum Night is not held only in Prague but also in other places of the Czech Republic. The history of the Museum Nights dates back to the year 1997 where the first Museum Night was held in Berlin. In the Czech Republic the first Prague Museum Night was held in 2004.
Prague Museum Night is held 11th June 2011 from 7 o'clock p.m.
in traditional places as well as in new facilities. Record-breaking number of 34 institutions participates in the enterprise this year making more than 60 buildings with their expositions and exhibitions accessible for the visitors for FREE. Also transport connections between the facilities are provided for free.
Prague Museum Night offers films projections, concerts, theatre performances, graphic ateliers and play-rooms for kids with entertaining activities where kids will have the possibility to create various things, participate in competitions, play and even win some prizes. There will be graphic ateliers, games, quizzes but also sports competitions prepared for you. You can also look forward to theatre performances, fashion shows and much more.
