Winter holidays in the mount
The real winter with the snowy streets, rime frost on trees, frost pictures on the windows and festive atmosphere of Christmas is about to arrive. I remember that in my childhood in the beginning of december very often the streets and fields were full of snow so we could have winter fun with skiing or sledding as much as we wanted.
In the Czech Republic there is a tradition that on December 5th, three characters, an Angel, a Devil and St. Nicholas reward the good behavour of children during the year with with sweets and fruit and bad children also receive the goodies accompanied with a lump of coal and a warning from the devil. On that day you can see these characters everywhere on the streets and squares, especially on the Old Town square, the meeting point on the St. Nucholas day.
Winter is here in the full force, the mountains are covered with the fresh snow and the snow cover grows with each day. The shining sun makes winter sports even more fun.
