Tetín is considered to be one of the first places inhabited by the first Christians in Bohemia.

Also St. Ludmila with her grandson St. Wenceslas are thought to have lived there for a short time. And it was right there where St. Ludmila was murdered in 921. The Church of St. Jan Nepomucký (St.John of Nepomuk) and the original Ludmila´s tomb belong to the oldest pilgrim places in the Czech Republic.
