The regional museum representing the region´s history.

In the premises of the medieval Strakonice castle is situated a regional museum representing the region´s history from the primary ages till the present times. The most interesting feature is the unique bagpipe exhibition with the biggest collection of bagpipes in the Czech Republic. Part of the museum is dedicated to the traditional production of fezes which made Strakonice famous especially in the 19th.  century, there is also a collection of motocycles and weapons. You will be introduced to the history of Strakonice castle during a sightseeing tour which also includes a former commenda of the Knights of Malta with a chapture hall and a lookout tower Rumpál.
