The Konopiště Chateau is located about 45 km out of Prague. It was founded in the 14th century and in 1887 it was renovated by the successor to the Habsburg throne, Frantisek Ferdinand d´Este, who was assassinated in Sarajevo in 1914. This chateau is famous for its fascinating collection of weapons and hunting trophies, confirming Frantisek's love for hunting wild beasts, which you can see in the chateau interiors.
