Can't praise this hotel enough. This is my 4th trip to Prague. I have stayed at the Savoy, The Hilton, The Mercure and in a private apartment and I must say that this was by far my favorite hotel in Prague. We wad an executive the room which was really a one bedroom suite. For 3 people this was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was plentiful with everything you could want to start your day. What really surprised me was how wonderful and efficient the staff was. Everyone was great and believe me, having traveled throughout eastern Europe, this was one plus I did not quite expect. Needless to say I give this hotel the highest of ratings... more

I recently took my girlfriend away for a weekend break in Prague and after lots of searching i settled for the Ramada Symphony hotel.

The hotel was located in the tourist hot-spot of Wenceslas Square, right in the heart of Prague city centre and only 10minutes walk from the Old Town square. The surrounding square is busy day and night with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, as well as a market (currently an Easter themed market). I had read somewhere that Wenceslas square is also the location for Pragues red-light district but there wasnt a red light in sight while we were there! (which is a good thing!)

The hotel itself is pleasant and to a good standard, the room was large enough to feel comfortable and was to a 4* standard. The room was reasonably priced but i think it could have been a bit cheaper. While it isnt much to look at from the outside, the location more than makes up for it.

The buffet breakfast was the biggest suprise; from previous experience buffet breakfasts normally involve plain bread with some hams and cheeses, but the Ramada laid on breads, meats, cheeses, fruits, sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, yoghurts, juices, etc etc! LOVED IT! We gorged on the breakfasts and then could happily skip lunch and thus not feel so bad eating out at the expensive tourist restaurants at night.....one word of warning, always check your bill before you pay at restaurants because the waiters causally add on extra costs to your meal hoping you wont notice! On two occaisions this happened to us, but the waiters were happy to apologise and ammend the bill, making up some excuse about the till playing up?! Yeah right! All part of the fun i guess!

All in all Prague is a beautiful city with plenty to keep you occupied during a 3/4 day weekend break, and the hotel Ramada is a perfect place to stay to do this.
