Prague tells about its breathtaking views

Prague tells about its breathtaking viewsAs I’ve already told you in one of the previous stories, I’m crowned with many complimentary names. One of the most frequently used names is ‘The City of a Hundred Spires’ on Vltava River. Indeed, if we look around from one of the look-out spots we can literally see a forest of towers and spires. These towers and spires embellish the numerous religious buildings as well as draw our attention to some remarkable communal buildings. The historical water-towers are also very significant in my panorama. In the past they were essential for life in the city the same way as were the detached belfries. Corner towers mostly add grandeur to some of the palaces and common houses, especially in Old Town and New Town, Lesser Town and in Hradčany. We can therefore state that the name ‘The City of a Hundred Spires’ is more than an historical matter. In reality me – the splendid Prague – pride itself with several thousands of towers and spires.

Prague tells about its breathtaking viewsThis story is about my charming views. From the Prague Castle you can enjoy one of the most beautiful panorama of the city. If you look at me from the Charles Bridge or from the Petrin tower, you would be certainly delighted by the sight of the Castle surrounded by the streets and alleys of the Lesser Town. From the Old Town Tower you can watch closely the everyday life of the Old Town. From my towers you can see my sights and my streets from totally different perspective and enrich youself with new impressions. Tooling around Prague in the horse drawn carriage brings you some romantic experience and reminds you of the old times. You’ll never forget the special atmosphere that reigns in the little street by the Prague Castle, called the Golden Lane and the view of its small coloured picturesque houses.

Prague tells about its breathtaking viewsPeople say, I have a special magic, when evening comes you may feel like you have stepped into a fairy tale. Thousands of night lights flare all over my streets, which are under the veil of night and twinkle like a diamante in the sky. From The Charles Bridge you will see a wonderful view of the nicely lighted Prague Castle. You walk through the historical streets with many dark and mysterious corners from the middle ages and discover beautiful, impressive Prague panorama. The building of the National Theatre boasts its magnificent golden roof gleaming in the sunshine, but also at night and totally dominates the riverfront. You can walk further to the Old Town Square and deeper into the city center. I’m sure you’ll be so much amazed and charmed by my night beauty that you will be almost possessed by the wish to glance it all once more.
