Old Town - the Old Town is one of the most popular and visited parts of Prague. Here you find a really big concentration of the historical, cultural and religious monuments.
Lesser Town - it is famous for its huge number of significant historical and religious buildings, also for its gardens. Both chambers of the Czech Parliament have their seats here, as well as many national, social and religious organizations and institutions. Prague Castle - it is the biggest castle in the world, the monumental place of the Czech Republic. In the past it used to be a seat of the Czech rulers and nowadays it is a seat of the president of the Czech Republic. Prague Castle attracts visitors by its famous sites: St. Vitus‘ Cathedral, Basilica of St. George, Old and New Royal Palace, Spanish Hall, Ball room, Daliborka Tower and the Golden Lane. Prague Castle has several entrances, and the most beautiful is by the Old Castle Stairs or from Petřín. Czech Crown Jewels are safely deposited in the St.Vitus‘ Cathedral. The biggest Czech bell Zikmund hangs in the tower of the Cathedral and in the Royal mausoleum underneath Czech kings and emperors rest.
Charles Bridge - with its 30 sculptures and sculptural groups ranks among most visited Prague sights. Foundation stone was laid down in succession of odd numbers 1-3-5-7-9-7-5-3-1 (9.7.1357 at 5 hours and 31 minutes). The bridge connects both embankments of the river Vltava. Both sides of the bridge are dominated by bridge towers called Old Town Bridge Tower and Lesser Town Bridge Tower. The fortress was originally built in the 10th century and its name is connected with many legends. Today it is an important symbol of the history of the Czech nation and popular tourist place that offers its visitors many historically valuable monuments, unique view of Prague and nice walks along the riverside.
