My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is only 5 - 10 minutes to walk to Wenceslas Square, so a good location. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Lovely shower and the actual rooms were very comfortable.
You can go for breakfast between 7.30am - 10.00am but on our first 2 days lots of the guests went at the same time as they were going on excursions, and the breakfast room was packed out.
I spoke to the Director of the hotel who was apologetic and by way of an apology left 2 small bottles of champagne in our bedroom. On the third day we went at a different time and it was not so crowded and there was plenty of bowls etc.

very nice hotel. about 15 minute walk from old town and close to tram. very helpful staff. nice modern room - comfortable bed, great shower. we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and especially loved the sauna. btw, employees were extremely helpful and courteous.
only downside - the doors are very large and heavy and you can hear the adjoining doors closing very early in morning sometimes. this was a disturbance - even with earplugs - although my girlfriend didn't even notice.

There were minitaxis from the airport, driver picks a full load and then drives passengers to different hotels. Don´t know if every hotel in town but at least Crystal Palace was on the list.
Hotel is quite close to city center and Wenceslas Square is 0,5km away from hotel. Subway stop is quite near. Also restaurants are close and a convenience store (open till late).
Rooms are nice and the bathroom has tub and good looking decoration (black tiles all over). Room itself has LCD tv with sufficient English tv channels if someone needs those.
Breakfast buffet is also served which was nice with all the Czech sausages and other local delicacies.
Hotel has also small bar which serves alcohols and coffee/tea etc. Sauna is also available and as we love sauna we reserved it for us. Surprisingly it was quite good (some foreign saunas just doesn´t do the trick...) and relaxing, recommended!
Staff was helpful when we were planning a day trip to Kutna Hora, they reserved it for us and made all the arrangements, even a car was there to pick us up and drove us to the meeting point.
When we left, some man (possibly hotel staff) drove us to the airport. No hassle with taxis, it wasn´t free of charge but a good service in my book.
Overall I rate our stay there above average because of nice bathroom, good breakfast, staff and free sauna.

To the Manager,
We would like to thank you and your staff for making our stay in Prague last week so enjoyable. All members of staff were extremely professional, pleasant and polite and did everything possible to make our stay memorable.
We would particularly like to thank your reception staff who went out of their way to provide extra information (such as advising us how to get to a specific location, probiding bus timetables and the nearest stop to the Hotel, receiving an important email. They were keen to ensure that we got as much enjoyment as possible from our trip but without ever being intrusive.
We would certainly recommend your hotel to any friends or colleagues that come to Prague and enclose a copy of a hotel review that we have sent to one of the Bristish websites which we hope they will publish once they have vetted it. (www.holidaywatchdog.com).
We hope to see you again on our next trip to Prague.

Manager / Manageress
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am very pleased to say that on 15th - 18th August 2006, I was a customer at your hotel in the centre of the Czech Republic. Since I was in my early 20´s, (I'm now 43) it has been my goal in life to explore the world for all things beautiful, (whether they be "man made" or natural beauty,) consequently I been about a bit and seen quite a few things. To give you some examples of what I've seen; The Pyramids of Giza, the Berlin Wall, (I was there when it came down and have a piece in my front room,) I've seen the Kremlin when it was still the USSR, I've been inside the Taj Mahal, I´ve been on Safari in Kenya, on the Ganges in India and last year I was in Nepal flying over The Himilayas. In doing such things I've stayed at everything from hostels to 5 Star Hotels.
With regards this letter, Prague was where I was going this year, I'd heard a lot about the beauty of the city and am also very interested in a Czech artist called Alphonse Mucha, (in my eyes - the man who created "Art Neuveau".) Your Hotel was where I was courtesy of "Newmarket Holidays". When I go on holiday things usually turn out very "Chaotic", thankfully this year was no different and I'd like to compliment your staff and the way they treated me while I stayed at your Hotel.
To be a little bit more specific on this there are four members of your staff who I feel I should especially praise. First being Michela, (a small built, black haired young lady,) who works in your reception foyer. On my last day there I was looking for a Massage Parlour and I can only say the Young lady spent close on an hour looking for one that would be open - Top Marks.
The second being and Porter from the reception area, a gentleman by the name of Roberto, he was always a pleasure to talk to and by no means would he let me carry my own luggage, (even though it was just a leather sports bag.)
The third and fourth being the two young ladies who work in the breakfast area, with the names Zanna and Victoria. I was usually first in for breakfast and always the breakfast was ready, coffee hot, gorgeous yoghurt and the "fry up" was brilliant. The moment I'd finished with one plate it was discreetly removed from the table to enable me to carry on with the nest "round of food. They always had a smile on their face, were always well presented, that gave the breakfast "The Special Touch." With regards this I do have some "extra knowledge" as I have also worked 6 years in a Commercial Kitchen.
I do also realize that you must also have "Behind the Scenes" employees who have enabled this. Such as the Chefs and the people who've dealt with your "paperwork", but for myself these four members of your staff made my holiday and absolute Diamond of a holiday and your hotel a Diamond of a hotel.
Earlier on in this letter I informed you that I was very much into ART, consequently I've nearly always got a camera about my person when I'm on holiday and in turn asked these four people to pose for my camera. Please find enclosed four envelopes with personal letters of thanks and photographs inside. Please would it be possible for you to forward these to the members of your staff.
I would also like to inform you that because it was thorough the company Newmarket Holidays that I came across your hotel I've also forwarded a letter of praise to them about your establishment.
Once again I'd just like to say thank you for a most brilliant stay at your hotel, I'm quite sure that not in the too distant future I shall be coming back to Prague, (the city was much more beautiful than I'd expected,) so I'll probably plane / train it in to Prague and book you through the internet next year.
Once again many many Thanks,
Yours sincerely,
Ivan Hillard
