Prague Marathon
On the 2. of April 2011 you have a chance to experience the Hervis Prague Half Marathon. The race starts at 12:00 right in the centre of Prague, near the Vltava river. Each year, the event attracts more runners from the Czech Republic and around the world. The atmosphere along the course is unforgettable, it is a unique chance to check your condition and to train for the big marathon.
Volkswagen Maraton Prague - 8th May 2011
The Volkswagen Prague Marathon (42,195 km) ranks among world's top ten marathons. Thousands of runners from the Czech Republic and 71 countries from around the world took part in the race in 2010. Running directly through the center of this very beautiful medieval city and being supported by more then 30 music bands and dancers along the course makes the race an unforgettable experience! This year it starts on the 8th May 2011 at 9:00 from the Old Town Square.
Four-member teams can participate in the Corporate Marathon Race, which will allow you to meet your colleagues, friends or competitors outside your working environment; at the racing track and the gala evening and prize giving ceremony.
Together with Prague Marathon you can participate on the Volkswagen Family Minimarathon (4,2 km), which is designed for families and individuals who want to take part in the marathon events. The participants finish at the Old Town Square where they can greet the marathon winners and enjoy the Marathon Music Festival. If you don't want to run, join the Marathon weekend and walk at Allianz Eco Walk (2 km).
The Marathon Music Festival is fast becoming the cultural phenomenon of our time. It is a festival that continues to grow in terms of quantity and quality. In the last 8 years, the MMF was hosting more than 450 local and international bands, including hundreds of street singers, musicians, samba players, dancers, fire-eaters and many other performers.
