Date: 1.3.2011

There is a saying on St. Matthew’s Day: "St. Matthew breaks the ice". So join us to "break the ice" and celebrate the coming spring, enjoying yourself at this famous and unique family fair offering joy for everyone, kids, adults and grandparents too.

This most famous Czech Fair is held annually at the end of winter and beginning of spring.

This year Matejska Pout celebrates its 45th jubilee,
begins on Saturday March 5, 2011 and ends on Monday April 25, 2011.

The first mentions about St. Matthew’s Day celebrations (24th February) date back to 1595. These celebrations were originally held by the St. Matthew Church in Prague in Dejvice and since 1963 they are held in the Julius Fučík park of culture and leisure, nowadays known as Fair-ground of Prague.

The most famous attraction is the roller-coaster Cyklon, then the Russian Wheel from which you can see beautiful views of the whole Prague and last but not least the adrenaline attraction Katapult Bungee or Booster offride.
