Tesco Grand Prix Prague run, will take place on September 11, 2010 at 6.30 pm. The annual race starting at the Old Town Square, across Letensky profile, Manes Bridge and finishing back towards the Paris street, belongs to the series of races organized by the Prague International Marathon (PIM) Organization.

This year, the series got one gold and two silver awards from the International Association of Athletics Federations IAAF and ranked among the world’s most elite long-distance races. For people who have yet not dare to run a marathon or half marathon, PIM organizes short distance runs for people of all ages, hobbies and professions. Men older 15 years will compete at the 10km run, women run 5-kilometer distance. The aim of the series is to promote a healthy, active lifestyle among all kinds of people, from hoteliers and bartenders to entire families.

All PIM events are traditionally accompanied by Marathon Music Festival. Over the past 9 years, the festival has hosted more than 450 local and international bands, including hundreds of street singers, musicians, samba players, dancers, fire-eaters and many other entertainers and jugglers.

Historical Prague is considered to have one of the most beautiful full marathon running tracks in the world.  According to the book”The most important marathons of the history“ by the authors Narducciho Faust, Robert Quercetaniho and Massimo Magnaniho, PIM was also ranked among the top 10 international marathons.
